A Series
Say
Why.
A Series from Rubinstein Productions.
what it is
One hour of filmed conversation.
A Series under Rubinstein Productions, my facilitation and film practice. One hour of filmed conversation with someone whose clarity I want others to see. Long-form on Substack and YouTube; shorter clips on TikTok. We chat the week before, see what's real in the moment, and decide together what seems to point toward the "Why."
what it would look like for you
Three steps.
-
step one
A 30 to 60 minute call. Phone or video, your pick. We talk. I'll probably ask what's real for you right now. If at the end either of us feels it's not the time, that's the end of it. No hard feelings, no follow-up.
-
step two
If we both feel it, an hour of filmed conversation, where you live or somewhere you choose.
-
step three
Edit and publish. Full episode on Substack and YouTube; shorter clips on TikTok. You see everything before it goes anywhere. You can pull anything you don't want out there. You own your story; I own the production craft.
who i am in this context
Half-friend, half-interviewer, half-listener.
A dude obsessed with his tool, the production apparatus, asking questions and saying what I'd say anyway. Half-friend, half-interviewer, half-listener.
I'm here to get to know you and reflect you. Listening, waiting, and observing are the work. A shared meditation. The space of the relationship.
why i'm doing this
Because I want to share the brilliance and clarity of the people I love.
The systems we live in make it hard for people to be witnessed in what they actually see and know and believe. Too much noise. Too much performance. Too much extraction.
The most important things any of us ever say come out sideways. My job is to attend with enough subtlety to practice what I like to remind myself of, easy love, right effort and loving-kindness.
No prep. Just show up as you.
